Passion for 4:3 Classic Television
"I started colourising TV as a hobby in 2012 and find it a continually fascinating process of creativity in which I never cease to learn new tricks."
As I restore footage too and as part of a small team, I helped to produce the unofficial and as yet unreleased colourisation of a full episode of Doctor Who – Part Two of The Daleks’ Master Plan (Day of Armageddon).
Since working on this project, I was invited to join the official Doctor Who colourisation team where I supplied all of the colourisation for the challenging cave scenes featured in The Daleks in Colour which celebrated to the exact day of transmission, Doctor Who’s 60th Diamond Anniversary which was incredibly thrilling and it’s now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
On the second official BBC4 project, I worked as part of a six-man team on The War Games in Colour which was transmitted on BBC4 on 23rd December 2024 and is currently available to view on BBC iPlayer. This story was originally ten parts long and again was cut down with updated VFX and music.
I have been working in marketing and print for many years and as a hobby I colourised photos, wrote and produced legendary fanzines dedicated to Doomwatch, Doctor Who and Cult Television, written short stories, created faux annuals, and numerous audio/visual plays.
